I am the mother of two children, Melissa and Abby, and grandmother to Carly. I have been a certified doula since 1998.

My previous work experience has been in accounting. I worked for twenty years in a dental office. I was responsible for payroll, accounts payable and receivables. Then my life took a turn……….

As long as I can remember it has been my dream to be part of birth. I consider it to be an honor to be present at the birth of a new being and I treat each birth with that honor and respect.

When I took my doula training I reflected on the support and help that my family received when my daughter Melissa was pregnant with Carly. I made a promise that weekend that I would give back to the community. Little did I know then that my doula work would lead me to co-found Everyday Miracles.

I have been blessed to attend over 200 births in the past 4-1/2 years. I have been part of the Unity Doula program from 1998-2003 and I worked for 1-1/2 years with the HCMC Doula Program. During those years, I was involved with the Anoka County Healthy Start Program through Unity Hospital working with the Public Health Nurses, Social Workers and Teachers. I have also served as one of the Doula Liaisons for the Unity Program. I am a member of The Childbirth Collective and I have served as the contact for the Anoka Chapter.

It is my hope for each new parent and their child that every birth is full of joy and that each child is brought into this world in a loving, gentle, peaceful way.
