The Vision of
Everyday Miracles

Our Mission

To strengthen families through the parenting experience, by supporting and empowering mothers during pregnancy. To provide pregnancy and labor support as well as prenatal education in a supportive, non-judgmental community for at-risk pregnant women who desire our services, regardless of age or culture.

Accomplishing Our Mission

Nov 2004: We just completed our first doula training.  A Special Thanks
to Jessica Atkins for providing this training for us.  We are very grateful that
we have such wonderful women working with us. Top row left to right:

  • EDUCATION: Since teens and single moms seldom attend pre-natal and birthing classes, we will hold these classes at Everyday Miracles. Additionally, we will offer breastfeeding support.

  • CREATING A SENSE OF COMMUNITY: We envision weekly dinners (incorporating nutritional meals on a budget) offering support and the sense of community. We plan to maintain a large garden, allowing us to include fresh foods as well as canning and freezing activities. For those moms who desire, we will hold Blessing Way Ceremonies to further enforce the sense of community. It is our belief that if we celebrate life with these young families, they can be empowered to parent successfully.  Click HERE for pictures of our recent benefit dinner.

  • CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT: We have set up a maternity clothing closet, as well as a baby clothing and equipment swap (see pictures below).

  • RETURNING THE GIFT: As our services will be at low or no cost to mothers, we will ask that all women who receive these services mentor a young mom so they can have a sense of giving back to the community.
