Using Acupressure during labor can be used as a tool for pain relief and management. It can also give the mother a sense of calm and the birth partner(s) as useful way of supporting the laboring mom while staying closely involved in the process. Acupressure support during labor is so effective it should be an important piece of education for every pregnant person and family.

The education in this class will include an explanation of acupuncture, acupressure, and Traditional Chinese Medicine and how it relates to pregnancy and labor. We will also cover how to properly provide acupressure to promote natural labor and where the proper location is for each acupressure point. We will also safely practice on each other so it is helpful to bring someone from your birth team but it is NOT required.

The class will be taught by Erika Sullivan, L.Ac. Erika has ten years of experience in the field and specializes in treating women and obstetric care. To read more about Erika please visit
