About the film...
Featuring Ibu Robin Lim, 2011 CNN Hero of the Year, Guerrilla Midwife is a powerful documentary about “the human rights issues of Maternal and Child survival...” The 90-minute film depicts        courageous mothers and their midwives crossing language and culture barriers with the same belief in mind: “That peace on earth can be achieved, one baby at a time.” For more: guerrillamidwife.org

About the filmmaker…
Déjà Cresencia Bernhardt draws on her Asian-American mixed heritage to tell the stories of a planet displaced. Her documentaries have      captured social/environmental issues from    Africa to Indonesia to Haiti. Déjà is currently in post-production of her first narrative film, “How I Lost My Birthday,” while completing her MFA at University of Texas Radio-Television-Film.

Every baby's first breath on Earth could be one of peace and love. Every mother should be healthy and strong. Every birth could be safe and loving. But our world is not there yet. ~ Ibu Robin Lim

Everyday Miracles has found a home!

Front Door

November 1, 2009 we moved into a new space at 1121 Jackson St NE, #121 in Minneapolis. The space opens up many new possibilities for the organization. Childbirth Education classes are being attended weekly in English, Spanish and Somali. The long awaited Yoga classes have started with Lana. Car Seat Education is also being held at the space. See our class schedule for more information. Thank you to everyone who made this dream possible. It is heartwarming to see the Doula’s coming in with the women we serve. Stop by and visit us soon and watch for your invitation to our open house in January.
