Debby’s experience with birth work spans nearly two decades. From training with the world-renowned Gail Tully to working with Hennepin County Medical Center’s Doula Program to serving as a Doula Liaison for Anoka County’s Healthy Start Program with Unity Hospital, Debby has attended more than 300 births.
In addition to launching Everyday Miracles in 2003, she is also one of the founding members of The Childbirth Collective, a primary contributor to our vibrant Twin Cities birth community. Debby was recently named one of the Childbirth Collective’s Shining Stars in recognition of her ongoing, tireless and compassionate work on behalf of families and doulas.
A proud mother and grandmother, Debby considers it a gift to be present at the birth of a new being, and she brings joy, love, gentleness and peace to every birth she is honored to attend.

Melissa is the Doula and Education Coordinator at Everyday Miracles. Her job includes direct support of doulas and clients, facilitating the matching process, and collaborating with referring organizations. She also coordinates classes and childbirth education, and assists with marketing. Melissa's professional experience includes work in marketing, and in the birth community. A certified group fitness instructor and yoga teacher with a focus on prenatal classes, Melissa is also a Certified Birth Doula and Calm Birth Meditation Teacher. She has a passion for supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth and parenthood. This passion, along with an unwavering belief in the power of compassion in building strong communities and families, drives her commitment to the work we do at Everyday Miracles. A mother of three busy teenagers, Melissa has been married to her husband for over twenty years. They live and raise their family in the Northeast Minneapolis area
As Car Seat Coordinator, Abby is responsible for facilitating all aspects of our busy car seat program. She works with clients, collaborates with insurance providers and coordinates with our car seat technicians. Prior to working at Everyday Miracles, Abby worked with Alzheimer's and hospice patients. Listening to their life stories, and holding space for them during a vulnerable time in their lives was an honor, and an inspiration to spend her life and work in a job that involved supporting and caring for people's needs. The daughter of a doula, Abby grew up believing in the power of birth, and knowing the importance of kindness and community for parents and families. Now a mother herself to Casey, born in 2016, she loves spending time with her own family, and is happy to be part of the Everyday Miracles team.

INTERNS & VOLUNTEERS
Annie is studying Economics and Spanish at the University of Minnesota. After she completes her undergraduate degree, she hopes to continue her education and attend law school. Her passion for women's health and accessible healthcare has grown since joining the Everyday Miracles team. She is very excited to be a part of the caring community that empowers women. When not interning at Everyday Miracles or attending classes, she loves to practice yoga, read, and learn new make-up techniques.
Nadia is studying Public Health and Social Justice at Hamline University. After graduation she plans on going to graduate school to get her Master's in Public Health. She firmly believes in the empowerment of women as a foundation of women's health and wellness. Nadia also believes that there is a beauty in the intersections of gender and health. When not interning at Everyday Miracles or going to school, Nadia enjoys reading, latte art, gardening, cloud formations and painting.
