CORE DOULA PROGRAM
As a nonprofit, Everyday Miracles is committed to improving birth outcomes and reducing health disparities in our local communities, particularly for those that face increased risk for poor outcomes. We know that healthy, peaceful births make for healthier families, and healthier families make for stronger communities.
Our Core Doula Program connects families with certified Everyday Miracles birth doulas. We serve clients with eligible Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) and select private insurance plans.
We recommend requesting a doula around 26 weeks of pregnancy, but you can submit a request at any point. The earlier you apply, the more likely we are to match you with a doula.
Who Qualifies?
The Core Doula Program is available for clients with:
Straight Medical Assistance (Minnesota MA)
Blue Plus (Minnesota Medicaid)
HealthPartners (Minnesota Medicaid)
Hennepin Health (Minnesota Medicaid)
Medica (Minnesota Medicaid)
UCare (Minnesota Medicaid & Private/Commercial)
South Country Health Alliance (Minnesota Medicaid)
Private/Commercial UnitedHealthcare
Before submitting your request, you're welcome to browse our doula profiles and request up to three preferred doulas. We'll do our best to honor your preferences, but placements are based on doula availability and cannot be guaranteed.
HOW it works:
1. Submit a Request
Complete our online request form.
2. Verify Your Coverage
We'll verify your insurance and send you a Doula Confirmation Form by email.
3. We Find Your Match
Our Doula Coordinator will match you with the best available doula based on your due date, preferences, and doula availability.
4. Meet Your Doula
Once matched, you'll receive your doula's information and instructions for scheduling your first meeting.

Depending on your insurance, you may also qualify for:

Car seats
Childbirth education classes at no cost or a reduced cost
These services can all be requested through the same application.
