Hi, my name is Lillian (they/them) and I am a South Minneapolis-based birth doula and massage therapist. I have been supporting pregnant and postpartum bodies through bodywork for nine years. In 2024, I was trained and certified through Community Aware Birthworker and have been working as a birth doula ever since. The work gives me great joy.

While I love babies, I always say that I got into this work for the moms/parents/birthing people. Each birth is different and, whether rocky or smooth, birthing people and their families deserve to be seen, heard, and cared for during that transformation.

My approach to birth, in a nutshell:
I bring my massage background with me to the birth room. My understanding of our anatomy and physiology are key to my birth support, as is gentle, touch-based support (if you so choose).
I prioritize an evidence-based approach. I respect physiological birth and respect medicine as a useful tool when needed/desired. I care about education, agency, and choice.

I am relationship and community centered. I believe that the trust and caring shared between myself and my clients makes all the difference. My passion for advocacy comes from that place of connection. I do not speak over or for you, but I can amplify your voice.
I am body accepting. Every day I aim to offer respect and care for bodies in all of our varied sizes, shapes, and abilities.

Outside of birth and bodywork: I listen to way too many podcasts, bike everywhere, and train in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I’m slowly learning to bake bread and love to feed people.

’m Yaa. My doula career began early and unofficially – I was there for my baby sister’s birth, from the time my mom’s water broke till she was born eight hours later. My mother jokingly told people that I was her doula …  I guess I really was! 

That experience was only the beginning. It sparked a passion for birth and supporting women that continues today. I strongly believe that every woman, regardless of her circumstance, needs support especially during childbirth. This belief guides the work I do at Everyday Miracles. 

A Certified Doula through DONA, I did my doula training with Liz Abbene as part of the Doula Access Project. I have also worked as a breastfeeding counselor for the Hennepin County WIC program since 2009.

A wife and mother of four energetic sons, I have also worked as an elementary school teacher and a radio presenter. As a busy working mom, I enjoy the simple pleasures of life, including 45 minutes of time to myself!

My name is Brianna, I am a COPE trained birth Doula located in Minneapolis MN. I am a boymom to three wonderful boys. Being a Mother is my weakness. Next, is my love for educating and supporting women through their journey of birth before, during and after.

After going through the tragedy of the still birth of my daughter and learning about the advocacy that lacks in the black community for women, who are four times more likely to die during pregnancy and child birth, Led me to where I am today! Having the passion to help other women, as they create and experience their own birth story.

Hi! My name is Katie, and I’m so happy to be part of the doula community at Everyday Miracles. I became a certified birth doula in 2015, and since then I’ve expanded my training to include placenta encapsulation and certification as a lactation counselor (CLC).

Originally from North Dakota, I moved to the Twin Cities to pursue doula work full-time after working several years as 2nd grade teacher. My passion for supporting families has only grown since then. I’m continually amazed by the strength and resilience of birthing women, and I believe every family deserves the support of a doula.

My goal is to help families feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their birth experience, whatever form that may take. I love working with people from all backgrounds and cultures, and I learn so much from each family I serve.

When I’m not attending births, I enjoy kayaking , cooking vegan dishes, sipping tea, biking, sewing, teaching, serving at church, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Some journeys begin far from home. Mine started in rural Cambodia, where, as a Peace Corps volunteer in 2013, I had the privilege of witnessing live births in communities with little access to resources. Those experiences shaped everything about how I show up for families today with deep presence, cultural humility, and an unwavering commitment to care.

I'm Fatuma, a COPA-trained birth doula and breastfeeding counselor. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel seen, supported, and safe, and I know that for far too many, that isn't the reality. Black women in the United States are more than three times as likely to die from pregnancy-related causes as white women. That statistic is not inevitable. It is a call to action, and it is personal to me.

I’m especially passionate about helping clients feel safe, heard, and deeply cared for—whether that’s in the hospital or at home. As a home birth parent myself, I understand the beauty of choosing a familiar, grounded space to give birth, and I love supporting families in creating that environment, wherever they are.

I have long been amazed by pregnancy & birth, and the way that women in history have supported one another. I have three children and each experience of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and breastfeeding were completely different from the other, with their own challenges and victories. Now that my babies are teenagers I am able to work as a birth doula. I am certified through DONA International, and speak conversational Spanish.

Women’s bodies are powerful in their ability to birth life. At the same time, I understand that every person approaches birth with their own needs, abilities, stories, and hopes. As a doula, I support my clients and encourage them where they are, come alongside them, and advocate for them so they may have the most positive birthing experience possible.

Hi, I’m Danae! Doula work found me after my first was born with an amazing doula by my side. I received my certification with Childbirth International (CBI) shortly after, and started supporting others through the wild ride that is pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! Bringing a baby earth-side is no small task, and requires you to walk through so many different emotional and physical changes. This journey can look so extremely different for everyone! This is why I am so passionate about taking the time to get to know you, and what you truly want out of your birth experience. I hold space to process fears, provide resources specific to your needs, and strive to show up for you in moments where you need encouragement the most. I also bring my experience as a photographer to include birth photography as something I offer to my doula clients (as I am able). The birth space is sacred, and the people there matter. I am honored every time I get to step into that space with someone. When I am not doing doula work, you can find me checking out new coffee shops to edit photos, walking my giant Newfoundland (Esau), or spending time with my partner (Max), and my own two little ones (Maverick & Navani).

I was born and raised in Mexico, I'm fluent in Spanish, I'm mother of 4 outgrow children and happy grandma of five beautiful kids.

I have been working for non-profits since I graduated from college, my career
started in Mexico, I worked in remote communities in poverty as a community worker, that work experience changed my life and became a motivation to help and advocate for the less fortunate. I have a background in Early Childood Education and Child Development, I worked in Way to Grow as Family Advocate and Family Educator for 14 years.

My interest in childbirth sparked by curiosity, when I was a young girl and I found a book about childbirth and labor, it was flooded with amazing pictures, that opened my eyes to the true nature of childbirth, other big motivation was having my sister with me in two of my deliveries then I realized how important is having a birth support person in your labor journey. The pandemic was a time of many changes, with the encouragement of my doula friend Shamsa and seeing the high need for spanish speaking doulas in the latino community, I become a certificated doula in October 2020

Hey! I'm Kaujah ( Ka- jah, the "jah" is pronounced how it is in "Elijah"), and I am an advocate for women and children as well as a doula/ birth worker. I am a mom of three crazy kids who keep me on my toes.....ALWAYS. In my spare time, I am a dance mom/sports mom.  I find value in holistic health. I love spending time outside with my kids, watching football (my fiancé plays semi pro football), singing in the car loudly with the windows down, and just enjoying as much of life as possible.
I come from a very big family (8 brothers and 3 sisters), and that is where I started my journey to becoming a doula. At 10 years old, I was very hands-on with my mother's pregnancy  with one of my younger siblings. She invited me to be in the delivery room when she gave birth. I remember going through a roller coaster of emotions with her. It was a pivotal time for me, but at that age, I didn't truly know how much it would be. As time went on, I attended a few other births of family and friends.
When I was pregnant with my first child, I was able to attend many childbirth education classes and had the opportunity to have a doula for support. Between the classes and having a doula, I felt so empowered in knowing my body and making the best decisions for myself and my baby.
I realized that being a doula was more than just a want but a need. I learned more and more about the racial disparities in pregnancy and birth with BIPOC women (specifically black women), and I needed to be a part of making a change. The more knowledge and support you have, the more informed decisions you can make, therefore leading to a successful outcome for baby and family.
I believe that when a woman is pregnant, it's one of the most powerful and vulnerable times in her life. All families should have access to safe support during this life changing time. I'd love to be that support in welcoming your baby to your family.

Hi! I’m Vonyee (prounounced von-YEE) (YEE like TREE).

I became interested in the Doula practice many years ago. However, due to being busy raising my own babies, I just didn’t have the time to commit to the work. My children have grown up, my nest is almost and Doula work fits perfectly! I’m now able to commit to the role and devote the necessary time to support birthing persons along their journey.

I’ve had a passion for caring for, helping, and serving others for as long as I can remember. As a Doula, Perinatal Educator, and Lactation Educator my goal is to provide you with person-centered perinatal support along with education, information and resources to assist you every step of the way.

With more than 25 years combined experience in healthcare, community health and public health, a vast majority of my experience has included supporting diverse cultures, underserved communities, older adults and people diagnosed with mental health and chronic health conditions.

Aside from being a Doula, I am also a Community Health Worker (CHW). Currently, my role is CHW Field Experience/Apprenticeship Coordinator. My CHW experience also includes CHW program development, Student Mentor, and CHW Trainer. Additionally, as a CHW I’ve worked in a variety of hospitals, clinics, social services and human service organizations. In 2021, I was asked to author the Healthy Lifestyles modules of the MN CHW Certificate Curriculum, which is currently being taught to CHW students in MN and nationwide.

Before becoming a CHW and a Doula, I was a Certified Nursing Assistant, Trained Medication Aide, Medical Receptionist and Hospital Unit Coordinator. I'm a certified doula, a childbirth educator, and a lactation educator with more than 11 years of service to families in the Twin Cities. Born in Algeria, I'm fluent in Arabic, French, and English. My heart's passion is serving immigrant families.

My path to birthwork began as a medical interpreter where I had a chance to witness numerous births. It was wonderful to get to witness babies being born and accompany families at that encompassing time. Thereafter, as a staff member at Way to Grow, I supported dozens of pregnant women, which further urged me to become a doula.

As a first-generation immigrant mom who had a child in the US with no relatives locally, I know firsthand how valuable it is to receive emotional and caring support during pregnancy as well as at the time of giving birth. I come with calmness, compassion, and integrity, and it's my commitment to make families proud, secure, and content during their experience with us.

I think that each individual's birth story is distinct and should be celebrated. I accompany families in any birthing environment—home, birthing center, or hospital—and I'm expert at emotional accompaniment.

Hello!! My name is Reese (She/Her/Hers) and I am a Certified Perinatal Educator/Doula through COPE. I am also an Indigenous Lactation Counselor. I have experience working as a Family Spirit Home Visitor (Child & Family Development Practitioner) for the past 3 years. I have worked closely with families to support them during pregnancy and early childhood. When working with families I share information, knowledge and skills that help to create optimum development for their children. I discuss with families the physical, cognitive, social-emotional, language learning and self help development that their child experiences as they grow. I have supported women prenatally and postnatally by checking in on them and asking how they are healing physically, mentally and emotionally after birth. I have done screenings that help to support women post-partum to ensure they are feeling seen, heard and supported. Post-partum can be a difficult time for parents to navigate so I know how important it is to have a plan for post partum care and support. I believe it does take a village to raise our babies. We all need support, love and care in those difficult but amazing moments!

I have always had a passion for birth work and family dynamics/attachment styles. Raising children is such an important and amazing thing to do. I grew up in a community-focused environment, an environment that reinforces the proverb: “it takes a village to raise a child.” I’ve been an eyewitness to women supporting one another in selfless, unflinching ways; I’ve seen grandmothers assume the role of medicine women of sorts, cooking up herbs and teas to soothe their daughters; I’ve witnessed aunties set aside their busy lives to visit and assist with bath time for both mother and baby, to cook meals, and to surround a new life with laughter and joy. I am a product of such support, and being the oldest of 5 siblings, I, too, have contributed a healthy degree of such support to my mother.

My mission as a doula is to provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and holistic care during the birthing and postpartum period. I aim to support emotional well-being, family transitions, and informed decision-making while honoring each family’s unique experience. From an early age, I was taught the beauty of being a helping hand, a lesson I do not take for granted. My involvement in one of the most important moments of your life will be as sacred to me as it was when I cared for my own mother and siblings. Hi I’m Stephanie! I come from a family of doulas and I believe that every birthing person should be fully supported, informed, and cared for. My doula journey started at age 10, watching my mother labor with and birth my little brother. My doula certification comes from the Commonsense Childbirth Institute. I’m also a certified lactation counselor. I consider myself a first generation Minnesotan with Southern roots (Louisiana). When I’m not supporting clients, you can find me spending time with my four sons, ranging in age from 5-24 years old.

"Most of us did not learn when we were young that our capacity to be self-loving would be shaped by the work we do and whether that work enhances our well-being." – bell hooks.

This is a quote that has stuck with me as I explore my career path. Becoming a doula is something I did not follow through with until the murder of George Floyd. Seeing the striking images of pregnant Black mothers protesting around the country ignited the fire in me to finally complete my COPE training. But my calling to birth work started on the day I was born.

My mother had a traumatic birthing experience that led to her being hospitalized for 2 months with an infection from an avoidable mistake during my emergency cesarean section. She did not want me away from her while she was hospitalized, so I remained in the NICU while she was admitted. I could not be in the room with her due to her infection, so I became known as the “unit’s baby” with staff carrying me around and coming to see me often. They would take me to my mother’s room when they could and bring me in for short periods of time with all the protection necessary to prevent the spread of infection. When other babies would cry, I would coo to comfort them. My mom loves reminding me my first word was “baby.”

I value empathy, collaboration, and being open minded. As a doula, I am intentional about serving my clients in a way that supports self-empowerment, so they feel they have all the information they feel they need to make the best decision for them and their baby/babies. I do not shy away from vulnerability, and I believe this allows me to have relationships with my clients built on trust.

When I am not engaging in birth work, I am a Registered Dietitian at Hennepin Healthcare (also known as HCMC). Also, I am currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Public Health with a focus on social epidemiology. That is the study of how people’s health is impacted by their environment, community, as well as governing bodies. My interest is in promoting health as a human right with a focus on Black and Brown communities.

I am a full-spectrum doula and life coach dedicated to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. My approach centers on healing while parenting. Recognizing that how we were loved, supported, and shaped shows up in how we care for our children. I am grateful for walking into my passion and calling thru my faith in God! As a doula, I have never been to the same birth twice. Meaning I learn something new in every birth that I attend. I believe that every birthing person should feel heard, seen and receive the care that is best for them and their family.

I was officially called into birth work in mid-July of 2019. I have been attending birth since I was about 12 years old. Every time I get called to a birth I get a beautiful rush of excitement. As a doula, I enjoy being able to be a witness the power that birthing people possess, as I encourage them and their support team. I believe that all births are natural births. I also believe that no birthing person should feel pressured in making a decision that is not ethical, cultural or spiritual to their wellbeing or the wellbeing of their family. The body of the birthing person knows exactly what to do and when to do it. You should not feel ashamed or guilty because your birthing process is different, because all births are!

 As a woman of color, I would like to see a change in the disparities in the care that women of color and minorities receive. It is my thought that women of color should not still, be dying during pregnancy, birth and postpartum in 2024. Birthing people should feel like their care is centered around them and their family, not that they are just another number or another pregnant person.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time my 5 beautiful children, our dog (Chase Banks) and our cats (Onyx, and Jade Nova). I love reading and growing in every way. I have also found a love for birth photography. I have been told by the mamas that I serve, when they see their birth photos, they get to see birth through a different lens! They gain understanding and clarity while they process their experience.

I’m a certified doula, a childbirth educator, and a lactation educator to families in the Twin Cities. Born in Minneapolis, MN. My hearts passion is serving people and have experience working with Indigenous families.

My path to birth work began when I collaborated with a community member that attended a culturally specific group I co-facilitate called “The First Gift”, which a baby moccasin workshop is held for community members. I have witnessed many births of relatives, and it was beautiful to have the honor and experience of supporting a family member and their family during their during their most vulnerable stage in life.

I was a teen mother myself, and I know firsthand how valuable it is to receive emotional and caring support during pregnancy as well as at the time of giving birth. I come with lived experience and a spiritual approach with calmness, compassion, and integrity, and its my commitment to make families feel safe, proud, secure, and content during their experience with us.

I accompany families in any birthing environments such as in home, birthing center, or hospital, and I’m an expert at emotional support, and currently work as a Mental Health Professional in the Twin Cities urban areas. I co facilitate culturally specific groups within community that support mothers and their families that promote healthy living and holistic healing work.

I’m a mother myself and I’m a descendant from The White Earth Nation Band of Ojibwe. I enjoy nature and being outdoors, taking hikes/walks, watching movies/shows, traveling, and socializing with relatives, friends, and being in community and around loved ones and relatives.

My name is Lori and I am a Certified Birth Doula through DONA (Doulas of North America). I have been a doula since 2018 and VBAC certified since 2023. I am also a Registered Sonographer. I have been doing ultrasounds since 2016. I am also a Certified Car Seat Tech since 2019. When you hire me as your doula, you get access to all three areas of expertise. 

When I was asked to take the doula training for one of my jobs, I investigated it and immediately knew this is what I am supposed to be doing. I love educating, encouraging, and empowering women and creating an atmosphere where they can have the best birth experience possible.

The calling to help pregnant women began at a young age when I convinced my parents to let a friend who became pregnant to live with us when she had no place to go. When I became a single mom myself, I began housing pregnant women in need. Before I knew doula work existed, I was a birth partner for one of these single moms. And I, personally, had a special support person with me for my own labor and delivery. My personal experience of childbirth, with great support present, really changed me. I became a more confident person in every aspect of my life.

I am married and have one adult son, a daughter in law, and a grand-dog named Indy. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and church family, hiking, driving around in my convertible, or taking a Harley ride with my husband. I also enjoy my perennial garden and planting flowers in the spring.

Hello/Boozhoo! My name is pronounced O-Ya- Tay! Which is Lakota, meaning the unity of the people or the people. You are getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life, and I am here to support you!.

I have been a Doula for over 12 years now. Initially, I got my training from DONA in Duluth, MN. I have experience with pregnancy and infant loss, special needs moms and babies, teen mothers, single mothers, VBAC, multiples, immigrant families, LGBTQIA+ families and a list of complications associated with pregnancy and postpartum. 

Whether it be your first or fifth child; every woman deserves to be confident, nurtured, informed, and supported through their journey. That is my main priority with every one of my clients. Regardless of any background, race, sexuality, status, culture or belief. I approach my clients with individualized care determined by their needs. Educating from not only  evidence-based research, but also life experiences from myself and other mothers. About 3 years ago, I took being a Doula as full-time commitment and I haven’t looked

back since. In the time between, I was blessed with the opportunity to go to school and enter the nursing field. I got work at a variety of different hospitals and settings. My most favorite

places were both Children’s Hospital and Gillette Orthopedic Hospital. Despite how much I loved being there; that is where I realized I wanted to be a doula again. After that, I put myself back into training to re-certify myself as a Doula. My highest goal is becoming a Midwife one day.

Hey there! My name is Egeziharya (Egg-Zi-ha-ree-ya) and I am a proud Ethiopian-American Doula and Child Birth Educator! With over 6 years of experience supporting births both locally and across Sub-Saharan Africa. My work is rooted in culturally aligned care, shaped by years of supporting African and immigrant communities and navigating the intersection of tradition, healthcare systems, and lived experience.

I bring a strong foundation of clinical experience alongside a deeply intuitive and grounded presence. My approach centers prioritizing empathy based care honoring the unique cultural, emotional, and physical needs that each birth experience holds.

I am especially committed to supporting families through complex and sensitive experiences, and creating space for care that is both culturally meaningful and deeply supportive.

Currently, I am pursuing graduate training in midwifery, continuing to shape a care practice informed by both global and local birth experiences. I believe that doula-informed care should be foundational across all birth spaces, strengthening how care is delivered and experienced at every level.
